Prioritize education over agendas

As we approach the end of this campaign season, I am heartened to see the dedication and drive displayed by Paula Bussard, Bruce Clash, Joe Shane, George Stroud and Jon Tarrant. This exceptional team from Citizens for Carlisle Schools represents what true commitment to education and community looks like.

Distinctively, they are the only nonpartisan team of local parents, teachers and taxpayers running for our school board. This means they prioritize our children's education over personal agendas. They are the embodiment of community pride, and they resonate with the ethos of academic excellence rather than descending into chaos and partisan politics. Their focus? Equipping our students with the necessary skills to thrive in this fast-paced world.

They've laid out their intentions, spanning from addressing academic achievements, catering to student mental health needs, retaining top-tier teachers, advocating for parental involvement and championing transparency and fiscal responsibility.

Moreover, Bussard, Clash, Shane, Stroud and Tarrant possess a collective wealth of experience, spanning decades of work with children within our community. They understand the intricacies of our educational system and are best poised to address the myriad challenges we face, be it pandemic learning losses or the pressing teacher shortage.

On Nov. 7, we, as a community have a pivotal choice to make. Do we choose candidates backed by divisive, national extremist groups? Or do we rally behind a nonpartisan, local team with a genuine plan that puts our children at the forefront?
