My name is Amanda Rudy. I’m a taxpayer and resident of Carlisle Borough, a retired military spouse, PTO volunteer and proud mom of two boys at Bellaire Elementary. I’m running for Carlisle Area School Board.
As a parent, I care deeply about the quality of my children’s education. As a PTO volunteer, I see every day the dedication of our teachers, the challenges they face and the incredible potential within each of our students. As your next school board director, I want to use my skills and practical experiences to help our district provide the best education possible for all our kids.
I currently serve on the board for St. John’s Preschool on the Square, which has provided me practical experience with educational policy, budgeting and strategic planning. I understand how complex education policy can be, while also remaining focused on what truly matters - the growth and success of our children.
I’m an active member of the Bellaire Elementary PTO, where I work with other parents to organize fundraisers for school supplies and field trips, and partner with teachers to ensure our schools offer academic programs and services to help all our kids achieve. I see every day the impact the school board’s decisions have on our kids, teachers and taxpayers. I understand the challenges our parents face and the value their involvement brings to our schools. I’ve gained insight into our broader school community and believe accountability and open communication are key to being a good leader.
These are the skills and experiences I offer as a new member of our school board. If you share my commitment to good schools, great teachers and smart budgets, I humbly ask for your vote in the May 20 election.
