My name is Stephen Brousse. I’m a 2004 graduate of Carlisle High School and a proud member of our community. As a father with a daughter at Mooreland Elementary and another joining next year, I am deeply invested in the success and well-being of our schools. I am running for school board to bring a fresh perspective — one that prioritizes students, respects parents and teachers, makes responsible financial decisions, and unites our community in support of quality education.
In my professional career, I have over 15 years experience as a civil engineer, specializing in problem-solving, data-driven decision-making and facility management. This background is particularly relevant as our district embarks on several major construction projects, where my expertise can help ensure work is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Beyond my career, I am passionate about supporting youth through athletics. As a former Carlisle cross country and track athlete, I know firsthand the value of extracurricular activities in shaping students' confidence, discipline and teamwork. That’s why I give back as a youth soccer and running club coach — ensuring kids have access to the same enriching opportunities that meant so much to me.
Carlisle’s diverse student body is a strength, offering an inclusive and globally-minded learning environment. However, we must continue to focus on ensuring equitable opportunities for all students by addressing class sizes, resource allocation and after-school programs that improve student performance scores and graduation rates. Creating a safe, supportive learning environment should be a top priority.
Our school board must remain nonpartisan and focused on what truly matters — giving every student the best education possible. I am ready to serve with a commitment to transparency, collaboration and thoughtful decision-making. I ask for your vote as we work together to strengthen our schools.
